Monica Pierce (nicknamed Nica), is the deuteragonist of the Child’s Play franchise, serving as the main protagonist of Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky and a major character of the TV series Chucky.
She was portrayed by Fiona Dourif, the daughter of Brad Dourif, the man who voices Chucky.
History[]
Curse of Chucky[]
Nica has spent her whole life in a wheelchair ever since she was born. She was grieving over the suicide of her mother, Sarah and butting heads with her older sister about Nica's future as Barb wants to sell the house.
During her life, Nica spent most of her life living with her mother and she never got a chance for a normal life or finish college. She was unaware of her mother's trauma with Charles Lee Ray.
But she puts that aside when Chucky mysteriously arrives in the mail. She finds out that the package came from the evidence depository. She looks up in the computer to find any information about Chucky and evidence.
She finds the history of Andy Barclay and Chucky. She saw the picture of Charles Lee Ray.
Earlier, she saw a home movie where Charles Lee Ray was in it. She suspects that he is responsible for the brutal murders that have been happening.
She later finds out that it was Chucky and then he tells her what happened years ago. He tells her that when he was Charles Lee Ray, he was a friend of her family and he killed her father after falling in love with her mother.
Then he kidnapped Sarah, who was pregnant with Nica at the time. When he falsely Accuses her of calling the cops on him (when it was his jealous girlfriend Tiffany who called the cops on him for killing without her) , he put a knife in Sarah's womb. While his attack did not kill Nica, it did cause severe fetal damage which is why Nica is in a wheelchair to this day.
Chucky said that Nica never had a life and she was living on life support which Nica uses completion anxiety on Chucky and taunts him for not killing Andy.
She was later arrested when evidence was found to charge her for murder. She was declared to be mentally unstable and was sent to a mental asylum.
Cult of Chucky[]
After four years of being condemned in a mental hospital, Nica is erroneously convinced that she was the one who murdered her family and not Chucky. Her "progress" in accepting her "crimes" allows her to be transferred to the Harrogate Medium Institute to gain alone time from usual mental patients. After arriving, she quickly befriends fellow patient, Malcolm, with whom she starts a sexual relationship with.
Nica is included into a therapy group by her psychologist, Dr. Foley. Everyone except Malcolm believe Nica was the one who killed her family. Dr. Foley then includes a Good Guy doll into the session as a therapeutic tool, which Madeline, a member of the group keeps after believing the doll to be her "baby". She is soon greeted by Alice's guardian, Tiffany Valentine, who informs her Alice has passed away and left behind for her a Good Guy doll. Nica is devastated by the news and gives the doll to Dr. Foley. Later that night, she attempts suicide. The next morning, Nica finds her wounds stitched up and a message saying "not so fast" written in a pool of her own blood.
It is discovered that Angela, a member of Nica's therapy group was killed overnight in an apparent suicide. When Nica learns the name of Alice's guardian was Valentine, she remembers in shock that Charles Lee Ray's girlfriend had the same name and that Ray was killed in a toy store and died next to a Good Guy doll. Also, that Ray's nickname was "Chucky", like the killer doll's name and the name of the two Good Guy dolls at the institute; convincing Nica she was never at all crazy and that Chucky is in fact real and alive. Though most of the group doesn't believe her, she sets out to prove that Chucky is real with the assistance of Malcolm, but after he fails to get Madeleine's Chucky doll, she's given the impression that Chucky has possessed him. She soon learns Claire, another member of her therapy group has been murdered.
Dr. Foley is unnerved by Nica's "regression" about her belief in Chucky, so he decides to "bring her back" through the use of hypnosis. It is revealed that Foley had been sexually abusing Nica in their previous sessions while she was hypnotized. Foley is then knocked unconscious with a glass bottle to the head by Chucky. Believing Chucky may have been able to switch doll bodies, she tries to convince Madeline to give her doll to her, but she refuses, believing the doll to be her child. She then encounters Dr. Foley, who believes Nica assaulted him, and uses it to blackmail in exchange for sexual favours.
After Madeleine's Chucky is buried outside the institute (as a way for Madeleine to cope with the fact she had murdered her child), Nica watches from the window inside, waiting for it to reemerge, knowing the crisis has not yet ended. Hours later, her suspicions are correct, but as soon as it emerges from the grave, Nica is suddenly sedated by the other Chucky doll supposedly gifted to her by deceased niece. Chucky then puts Nica in a straitjacket and moves her to Dr. Foley's office. Foley arrives later and finds her; though confused as to how she ended up in his office restrained, he decides to use it as another opportunity to sexually assault her again.
She tell him that Chucky will kill him, and she will tell everyone of his terrible deeds. Foley is unconcerned, as he's sure that no one would ever believe a supposed schizophrenic mass murderer. As Foley tries to kiss her, Nica spits in his face, causing him to jump back, and is suddenly knocked unconscious yet again by Chucky. To Nica's horror, she learns both Chucky dolls are alive, and watches as Madeline's Chucky brings yet another Good Guy doll (with shorter hair) to life. The leading Chucky reveals that a few years prior, the original Chucky had discovered a new voodoo spell online that allows him to possess multiple host bodies at once, such as Alice, who he reveals to have been killed by one of his victims, much to Nica's dismay.
An orderly named Carlos arrives, shocked to see the living Good Guys dolls. Nica screams for him to run, but he is brutally murdered by all three Chuckys. The short-haired Chucky goes to kill the recently-incarcerated Andy Barclay (who has come to the asylum to save Nica) while Madeline's Chucky is sent to guard the door, leaving the leader Chucky with Nica. To her surprise and horror, Chucky reveals that he was never gonna kill Nica and that there are worse fates than death. Chucky then chants a voodoo ritual transferring his soul into Nica, which also gives her the ability to walk. In Nica's honour, Chucky kills Dr. Foley by stomping his skull in with red heels which he had placed on Nica earlier.
She walks out and into another room with Malcolm, who claimed he killed Nurse Ashley and is in one of his fake personalities. Chucky/Nica knows that the other Chucky killed Nurse Ashley and calls him out on it. Malcolm is then drilled through the head by the other Chucky doll. Chucky/Nica and the other Chucky laughed together. Then Chucky/Nica catches up with Andy in the psych ward, he tries to shoot her, but the gun ran out of ammunition, they talk a bit, then the hospital alarm sound off and she locks Andy inside the holding room with the dead shaved Chucky inside and she leaves the asylum to meet up with Tiffany. They kiss and get in the car with the Tiffany doll in the back seat. Chucky/Nica and Tiffany laugh and then the Tiffany doll laughs too, revealing that she is still alive. The three of them drive off from the hospital.

As four years or two weeks has passed Nica still remains possessed by Chucky where they begin to find multiple Chucky dolls to be shipped around the world back at the hotel where they're hiding Tiffany and Nica/Chucky kills a victim off screen where the other victim is tied up trying to escape however Tiffany tells Chucky that they made a nice show and all the guy did was moan and complain Tiffany begins to Brad that she wants something to eat as nica/chucky flirts with the guy however she begins to mention his favorite food sweetest meatballs this upsets Chucky as the two of them get into argument as Tiffany leaves and storms out to remain calm.

After killing the guy they cut his body into multiple Pieces Tiffany had a hard time trying to hide his body in the suitcase where Chucky insults Tiffany due to her lack of hiding evidence this infuriates outrageous Tiffany as she sliced the man's hand results of his blood splashing on Chucky's face to resurface Nica soul once in control of her body again she pretends to be Chucky as Tiffany as Chucky about the night of their wedding of Niagara falls when they were dolls Nica tries to dodge the bullet however Tiffany wasn't a fool she realized that the girl has regained control of her body.
Nica ask Tiffany how do she know it was her Tiffany tells her the truth that she stabbed her multiple times while she was knocked out and tells her that Chucky doesn't bite his nails when he gets caught realized that her cover has been blown she asked Tiffany what she's going to do to her Tiffany tell her for the past 4 years that she developed feelings for her and would prefer spending time with her instead of Chucky she immediately confesses to her does she have these nice moments with her however Tiffany tells her the biggest problem is how to keep Nica and control of the driver's seat instead of that rat Chucky and proceeded to hit her on the head results of Chucky resurfaced Tiffany ties nica up in Charles Lee Ray's childhood home where she begins to get the multiple dolls.
Later on that even night Devon snuck in Charles house as he hears Nica begging for help he kindly frees her unknown to him Chucky regained control of her body and tase him after Tiffany comes back she sees Nica on the floor and begins to give her a needle shot to knock her out unknown to her Chucky hears the whole thing and use her feet to knock Tiffany out Tiffany panics as Chucky becomes very disappointed hearing that she was going to rotting him out however he mentored her how many times that he had killed her the first time of her human body and the second time of her doll body (unknown to him Tiffany managed to switch bodies with Jennifer Tillyin the nick of time to avoid getting killed by him)
However he threatens her that this will be the last time of him working with her however Tiffany tells him in Nica body does she needs him or the plan will not work being shipped through multiple hospitals however Chucky tells her that thinking was for losers and proceeded to strike her however his doll self with Junior who killed his father due to the manipulation of waking up 72 chuckies telling him that they need Tiffany that Chucky is already used to Tiffany however Tiffany is very happy to see Chucky spare her and immediately insulted Nica/Chucky.
After they declare victory Tiffany tries to get attention of the Chucky doll but she was slightly ignored when she sees him associated with nica/Chucky when his doll self ask him how did this plan manage to work Chucky inside telling him that he gets a lot of action when he's in control of a woman's body but Tiffany corrects him saying that he had slept with multiple men which irritated the Chucky doll Tiffany tells Chucky that he was the most selfish self-centered man that she ever met in her entire life both Chucky's wanted to know who was she talking to she insulted both of them that he should treat her like a Lady Nica/Chucky insults Tiffany saying that he doesn't see a lady Tiffany became upset with the remarks insults she slapped Chucky out of the driver's seat and resurface nica.
Tiffany stops her from trying to escape telling Chucky that she treats Tiffany with a lot of respect unlike him Chucky apologizes to Tiffany saying that what she said was correct and should get over himself and takes a lot of things of sacrifices when he looks at Nica he demands Tiffany to kill her which Tiffany becomes slightly confused however he tells her that he knows what that does to him Tiffany tells Chucky that his soul is part of her telling him that she's a part of him as well Chucky ignores that telling her that he has a lot of him to go around and tells Tiffany an aggressive voice to kill her to prove her loyalty to him Tiffany struggles and couldn't do it because of her feelings.
he orders Junior to do it when Junior asked who was she Chucky tells her she is his damn trophy and tells the boys to kill her or he would do the three of them this causes Tiffany to trigger and proceeded to decapitate Chucky's head when Junior tries to help Chucky Tiffany tells him to back away kindly and reminds him who who's going to get him out of the town if the authorities and the police finds his father's dead body her or Chucky that she finally decapitates his head and tells Chucky that she is completely done with him that she is done with his pettiness and his autistic ego and insults his body completely she mentions him did he ever figure of the authorities including the police found him on the night of Chicago the day he translated his soul into the doll
Chucky immediately finds out that Sarah had nothing to do with calling the cops realizing that he killed Nica mother of falsely accusement realizing that killing her and paralyzing nica was a complete fatal mistake and swore vengeance on Tiffany for betraying him Tiffany insult him back telling him this was for killing without her
After being done with Chucky completely she injects Nica causing her to be knocked out and took over the operation.
Later at the end of the episode Nica completely woke up after being knocked out for so long Tiffany tells her that she really likes her a lot but she realized that Chucky is still in control to take matters into her own hands she immediately tells her that she had fixed everything Nica was completely confused by all of this until the recognition hits her realizing that Tiffany had incubate amputated her arms and legs to avoid Chucky killing her.
Season 2[]
Nica remain as a prisoner and Jennifer Tilly's mansion for a whole year due to her arms and legs being incubate her she woke up due to Tiffany screaming and bloody hell finding out that her doll counterpart was killed in the impact by Andy she fix her a nice breakfast and went to her room however Tiffany tells her that she had a bad Nica suggested it was her damn conscious telling her however Tiffany ignores that and ask her if she's happy being around her she mentions that she cut off her arms and legs Tiffany tells her that she cut off Chucky's arms and legs to prevent him from coming between them ever again.
she mentions Jennifer Tilly the person that she stole her life from telling her that she's not her Tiffany also ignored this and makes smart remarks that she can never leave to provoke Chucky more Tiffany apologize before slicing her hand to resummon her ex-husband while control of nica body Tiffany demands an explanation how did her doll self head decapitated got into Jennifer's bed Chucky remarks telling Tiffany that he is coming to kill her for betraying him for the fourth time.
Later on Tiffany and Nica watches one of Jennifer Tilly's movies with Jim Carrey liar liar as Tiffany imitates Jennifer's lines Nica completely asked Tiffany did she did acting or got a job of it realizing that she blew off Jennifer Tilly's divorce million money and will eventually lose the house Tiffany braggs that she will not lose Jennifer's image or the house Nica tells her constantly that she's not Jennifer Tilly that she thought that she will be living in a big house but all she did was got a washed up imposter.
However the authorities begins to look for her begins to suspects she's located at Jennifer's mansion
Nica calls for help however Tiffany suspects that her and Chucky are plot to go against her and asking her how did that dog version of hers got into Jennifer's room and gag her alone in the room the two souls between her and Chucky began to have a conversation it reveals that Chucky and her work together for a whole year to plot Tiffany out Chucky warns her if she finds out that the two of them are working together against her the whole plan will be squashed and all over Nica because irritated saying that the main reason why she agrees to with it because due to her arms and legs been incubing she has no other choice Chucky tells her that he felt bad for what he did to her and says that he got close to her.
One of the authorities a man came to Jennifer's doorstep Tiffany answer and he asked about Nica where she lies which drove the man away however he came back again to suspect that something wasn't quite right Tiffany got irritated and decided to let him in the house however she maliciously kill him to avoid getting nica taking away from him however her kids arrived Glenn and Glenda.

- She is the first main character of the Child's Play series to be in a wheelchair.
- The actress playing Nica, Fiona Dourif is Brad Dourif's daughter (Chucky).
- Nica is also, unfortunately, one of Chucky's intended victims who is punished for his crimes. As neither Kyle, Andy, nor Ronald were ever prosecuted or imprisoned for his crimes.
- It's possible her hatred of Chucky increased from not just killing her family, but also to when he revealed to her that he is the one responsible for her being born as a paraplegic, due to a stab wound he inflicted on a pregnant Sarah for calling the cops on him.

- Tiffany Valentine could be considered the arch-nemesis of Nica Pierce, considering the fact that Tiffany was the one who mailed Chucky to Nica's house, which is what lead to the deaths of her entire family; Tiffany was also the one who chopped off Nica's arms and legs, and held her hostage for over a year.
- According to Chucky, in Curse of Chucky, Nica is the daughter of Sarah Pierce, the last victim of Charles Lee Ray, just before he became Chucky, the Killer Doll. However, since Chucky killed Sarah in Curse of Chucky, that could mean that Nica is the sole survivor of the Lakeshore Strangler Murders.
