Lucien Charron is the brother of Caliban, the father of Alexa, the guardian of Trey Laporte and one of the main characters in the Changeling/Wereling books.
He is a vampire whose friends two werewolves Daniel and Elisabeth Laporte were killed by his brother Caliban and his forces. Years after this he becomes the guardian of their son Trey and aids him in his battle against Caliban's forces.
Appearance[]
Lucien is bald with pale skin, fire flecked eyes and a short beard. Trey thinks that Lucien to be considered attractive by women.
Backstory[]
Lucien is the brother of Caliban, but unlike his brother, Lucien doesn't kill others to feed on their blood and instead eats from blood bags. Lucien also had his fangs and talons removed.
Lucien meet and fell in love with an eighteen year old sorceress named Gwendolyn and started an eight year relationship with her. During the relationship, Gwendolyn began to study dark magic, but stopped after the birth of her and Lucien's daughter Alexa. However, sometime later, Lucien caught Gwendolyn attempting to use Alexa as a sacrifice in order to summon a powerful demon. Following this, the relationship ended and Lucien raised Alexa in believing that her mother was dead.
Lucien worked with his friend, a werewolf named Daniel Laporte. However, when Daniel's son Trey was born, the partnership ended. When Trey was three years old, Lucien visited Daniel and his wife Elisabeth and decided to stay out of the Laporte's life unless it is absolutely necessary. That evening, Daniel made Lucien promise that if anything happend to him, he (Lucien) would protect Trey. One day, Lucien contacted Daniel to help him fight a djinn. However, whilst the two were away, Caliban, after hearing of a legend that a true blooded werewolf would kill him, decided that Trey was that werewolf and targeted him by killing Elisabeth. Following this, Daniel set out to get revenge on Caliban, but didn't inform Lucien of his plan as he believed that he would slow him down. After discovering Daniel's plan, Lucien set out to find him, only to arrive to late as Caliban had killed Daniel and fled.
Following this, Lucien kept his promise to Daniel by keeping watch over Trey after he was taken in by his grandmother and later placed into the Apple Grove Care Home.
