Gunter von Esling is the general of the Allied Forces in Command & Conquer: Red Alert.
Esling was a vernal soldier for Germany in the World War I with anything about him before that period was unknown. As Gunter went on his path, he was promoted to Commander because of his strategy making skills with the other European countries. His men look up to Esling for his leadership and stoic personality. When the Soviets seemed to have success in the war, Gunter acts unagitated and rectify on the Allies' main goal. Gunter was honored for his ability in diplomacy, which made him the Supreme Commander of the Allied forces. Von Esling led the Allies into countless victories over the Soviets including rescuing a scientist who defected from the Soviet Union. Von Esling later led the final attack on Moscow, yielding a decapitating blow on Stalin and Soviet Union.
After the war's end, Gunter retired from the military.
