Harold "Hal" Jordan is a superhero from DC Comics known as the Green Lantern. He is the first human to join the Green Lantern Corps as well as a founding member of the Justice League. He is the second to adopt the Green Lantern moniker. He was created in the Silver Age of Comic Books, and made his first appearance in Showcase #22 to replace Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern.

He was ranked number seven on IGN's Top 100 Comic Book Heroes in 2011. He was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 live-action film adaptation Green Lantern, where the character saw a first live-action appearnce for the first time on big screen. Reynolds is set to portray the character in DC future film projects, and will also portray Deadpool.
