Colton Cole White is the adopted son of Ned White and the protagonist of the video game GUN.

History[]

Past[]

In the midst of the american civil war, Dr. Campell, the owner of the Cross of Coronado, was living in the plains between Dodge City and Empire. One day, a group of soldiers led by Thomas Magruder appeared at the doorstep, asking for the cross. When the doctor claimed he didn't know, Magruder ordered one of the soldiers to search the house who returned with the cross. When the Apache chief (a friend of the doctors) objected, Magruder shot and killed him, Ned, one of the soldiers, protested at this needless death, only to have magruder shoot him as well. The doctor was decapitated by Magruder, who was then shot in the eye by an Apache woman.

Before this happened however, she had given the baby Colton to the son of the Apache chief, the future Chief Many Wounds, to keep him safe from the battle. When the battle was over, Many Wounds found the body of his father and was filled with hatred for Magruder, he was then confronted by the wounded Ned, who said that he was sorry and asked how he could make up for it. Many Wounds replied with repay your dept with him and handed him Colton, whom he would raise as his son.

Present[]

Later, in 1880, Colton was a hunter with no home, always on the move with Ned. On a warm fall day, Ned decided to test Colton's Quickdraw abilities, releasing some Quail for him to shoot. In the middle of the test, the pair were attacked by Wolves, who were quickly dispatched by them. They quickly moved uphill to look for some Elk. Colton killed two of them, which were set upon by yet more wolves, who presented a challenge to the two hunters, but were eventually killed. Later, while Colton was scouting ahead, Ned was attacked by a Grizzly Bear and dropped his rifle. Colton heard his cries and ran over, but he quickly realised that his rifle wasn't penetrating the bear's fur, hearing Ned's suggestions, he picked up Ned's rifle and killed it.

As Colton skinned the bear, the Morningstar steamship showed up, which would take them to the nearest city so they could sell their game, Ned went to board the ship, while Colton finished skinning the bear.

When Colton and Ned get on the boat, Colton finds a reverend harassing a woman, asking where an object was. The woman slaps him, causing the Reverend, known as Josiah Reed, to murder him with a hatchet, and then orders a group of people to attack the ship, killing many innocent people. Colton and Ned manage to resist the shots, but then Ned tells Colton that he is not his real father. He then gives Colton a token from the Alhambra, a bar in a city known as Dodge City, to find a woman named Jenny. She then throws Colton into the water to save him from the ship's explosion.

Colton, unconscious, is dragged by the sea to the surface. A stranger appears to steal something from him, but suddenly reacts and intercepts the thief. The man, who calls himself "honest Tom", tells him that he doesn't want to hurt him and even teaches him to ride. After a while, some men suddenly appear and start pointing their revolvers at Colton, revealing that Tom was cheating on Colton all the time. A shootout begins, in which Colton kills the three robbers and sets off for Dodge City.

When he gets to town, he walks into the bar and asks for Jenny. The two meet and Colton reveals what happened to him on the ship. The two decide to go upstairs to chat, but some men, who thought Colton was going to "get laid" with Jenny, rage and hold Jenny hostage while shooting Colton. Colton kills them all. Jenny reveals to Colton that Sadie, the woman killed by Josiah, came from Empire City, New Mexico, and together with the help of the people of the city, they manage to build the bridge that would allow them to pass to the other city to meet him mayor of Empire, Hoodoo Brown. They also assassinate several Apaches who try to attack the protagonist.

Upon arriving in Empire City, Colton meets Hoodoo Brown, who promises to find the man he is looking for, Josiah Reed. Suddenly, a man calling himself Chávez y Chávez is attacking the city, and Colton along with the help of two agents go to the scene. He starts a chase until he reaches a ranch, where they find an innocent couple. Despite this, one of the agents shoots the two with his shotgun, much to Colton's annoyance, who tells them that he is going to send them to Hoodoo for murdering two innocents. However, it is revealed that Hoodoo was manipulating Colton and Jenny the entire time and then they proceed to attack Colton, but Colton murders them both. He then decides to go back to where Hoodoo was.

Upon arriving there, Colton confronts Hoodoo about his betrayal and asks where Jenny is. However, Colton hears Jenny screaming upstairs. Colton climbs the stairs only to find Reed murdering Jenny. When Colton was about to shoot him, Hoodoo appears to hit him over the head with a glass bottle. Then Thomas Magruder finally confronts Colton. Magruder is shocked to learn that Ned was alive the entire time, but is now dead and Colton will be reuniting with him in no time. He then knocks Colton unconscious and orders Reed and Hoodoo to hang him tomorrow for Jenny's murder.

In prison, Colton meets Port and Soappy, and the three decide to finally take down Magruder and his men to end their tyranny for good. Colton gets rid of the guard who was watching them, to then force the door of the prison with the badge of the guard, and soon to leave the place. Then they manage to steal some horses to flee the city.
