If they roll up and tell you they're going to save your soul, you say: "Guys, I wouldn't trust you to save my credit card info."
~ Leah Cassini about the Templars.
Eh..... I don’t feel like it.
~ SpongeBob SquarePants when Mr. Krabs tells him to do the job once.
"Good things come to those who don't wait around!" That's what they say, anyway. Knowing my luck, the opposite is probably true for me...
~ Bennett about his bad luck

Heroes who are more likely to accidentally foil their own plots than the ones of villains they're fighting against (unless if said villains are the same), due to stupidity, bumbling, poor planning, cowardly behavior, weak strength or willpower, arrogance, clumsiness and/or unwillingness on their part.

For obvious reasons, these heroes are likely not successful, but in certain cases, they can still succeed in their goals, albeit they have the help of much more competent heroes, just with sheer luck, or by learning from their past failures to become better. However, even masterminds can be incompetent if their failures are made for laughs.

Pure Good heroes are NEVER incompetent as they are capable of performing wondrous heroic acts and causing galvanization to others in a story which actually makes them competent and very beneficial, while incompetent heroes are unreliable and struggle to complete basic tasks no matter how benevolent they are.

Even if, in very rare cases, some Pure Good heroes are somewhat incompetent (e.g. Luigi, Po, Hubie, Emmet Brickowski, The Tramp, Forrest Gump, Flik, Dewey Riley, Papyrus, Walter Beckett, Bruno Madrigal, Flint Lockwood, Chicken Little, Bolt, Barley Lightfoot, Slippy Toad, Pinkie Pie and Queen Elsa) they're still capable of doing serious heroic acts and thus, they must go under Cowards, Non-Action, Comic Relief, Dimwits, Misguided, and/or Weaklings categories instead.
