Heroes who have struggled with addictions in the past, such as drug addiction, smoking, gambling and alcoholism, or continue to do so during the story. Those bad habits often weaken and cripple those kind of heroes, but sometimes it have the reverse effect (e.g. Agent Venom). They usually suffer from mental illness which lead to this.

Addicted heroes can still be Pure Good if they have no corrupting factors and if their addictions don't interfere with their moral agency and knowledge of right and wrong.
