Asch the Bloody is one of the main characters of the Tales of the Abyss series. He is a God General of the Order of Lorelei and the love interest of Princess Natalia.

Asch is actually the original Luke fon Fabre, but Van Grants kidnapped him and replaced him with a replica. Because of this, Asch openly despises Luke, the person who stole his life, but he also hates Luke's sense of inferiority after discovering that he is a clone. His goals are the same as the ones of Luke and his party, but Asch is stubborn and refuses to join them, preferring to act alone "behind the scenes".

He was voiced by Chihiro Suzuki in the Japanese version, and by Yuri Lowenthal in the English version.

Personality[]

Asch almost always has an angry expression. He is very smart and calculating, and can be quite arrogant and rebellious. Asch can be blunt, borderline insulting when talking to the other characters. However, he does have a compassionate nature deep down under all his hatred and anger, but that rarely is spotted in his actions. Asch also has moments of incredible goofiness.

Abilities[]

Because he is clone of Luke, Asch utilizes the same fighting ability and spells as his lookalike. However, he takes on the more aggressive approach whilst fighting against his opponents whereas Luke takes on a elegant style.
